The 2016 New York Motor Show proved that there's still a big appetite in the Big Apple for new cars. The New York International Auto Show, to give it its full title, has offered up a whole hose of big new car debuts, including the new Mazda MX-5 RF and the Mercedes GLC Coupe, plus an exciting range of concept cars and some intriguine news developments in the car world.

As the show gears up for the public days from March 25th to April 3rd, it attracted many of the major manufacturers, including Mercedes, Audi, Toyota and Mazda. Europe and China may have bigger and more prestigious car shows, but the glamour of the Big Apple is always going to be a powerful draw.

Held in the Jacob Javits Convention Center in the heart of Manhattan, the New York Motor Show is the longest-running motor show in the USA and is attended by huge numbers of US car fans and buyers. It will feature lots of new US-only cars as well as a few global debuts. Plus, of course, some wonderful and weird specialist cars created by tuners and niche manufacturers from around the world.
